World Book Day 5th March 2026
We know that reading for pleasure has a huge impact on children’s learning, well-being and imagination. After the success of last year’s ‘Battle of the Genres’ theme, this year we are encouraging children to explore and celebrate both fact (non-fiction) and fiction books, helping them to discover what they enjoy most and choose their next great read.
To celebrate, we are inviting all children to come to school dressed as either FACT or FICTION on World Book Day. For example:
• Fact: scientist, explorer, footballer, animal, historian or a favourite non-fiction topic
• Fiction: mythical creature, fairy tale figure, wizard, superhero or imaginary character
Please remember that we do not want this to be a financial burden and greatly encourage simple, homemade outfits. Children are also very welcome to come in their usual school uniform with a label or badge showing whether they have chosen fact or fiction.

We are so proud of the children who have achieved their ‘Gone Green’ TTRS Award 👏
This fantastic achievement means they now know all of their times tables up to 12—what an amazing milestone! 🧠✨
Keep up the hard work… we couldn’t be prouder! 💚
